Over 30 years of automation expertise

An automation technology company focused on sustainable development

Kaptas as a company

Kaptas Oy is an automation technology company specializing in smart automation solutions that enhance customer productivity and improve competitiveness. At the same time, we support our clients in transitioning toward more sustainable production.

The current Kaptas was created from the merger of Promector Oy, founded in Turku in 1991, and Kaptas Oy, founded in Joensuu in 2007.

We are part of the international Addtech technology group, which includes over 150 companies and employs nearly 4,000 people. The group’s revenue is approximately 1.75 billion euros.

Cleanroom automation expertise for the pharmaceutical industry

We build machines and production lines for industries such as pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, technology, plastics, and food. We are particularly specialized in automation solutions for cleanrooms in the pharmaceutical industry, with over 30 years of experience.

Kaptas has also developed its own equipment for cleanrooms, designed for mixing medications and dispensing liquids. These devices are manufactured to order for the needs of the pharmaceutical industry.

Expertise in unique solutions

Most of our client projects are unique orders. We assist clients with challenges related to producing and packaging new products, as well as with issues in material handling, production line development, production modernization, and quality control.

Clients contact us when there is no ready-made solution or machine on the market that can produce and package their products or check product quality.

Kaptas provides clients with innovative solutions that allow them to manufacture, inspect, or package products as cost-effectively as possible, meeting quality requirements in their field.

Our solutions aim to help clients stay at the forefront of their industries. The machines and production lines we build are always unique and tailored to each client.

When designing and building machines and production lines, we utilize the latest technology, including robotics, simulation, machine vision, and artificial intelligence.

These technologies promote sustainability by reducing resource consumption and improving production quality, which minimizes waste, provides cost savings for our clients, and reduces the carbon footprint of their production.

Sustainable automation

Our facilities are in Joensuu and Turku, where we create innovative solutions to our clients’ automation challenges, following the principles of sustainable development.

Currently, 100% of our projects contribute to sustainable development.
