Innovations and everyday work for a better future

Corporate responsibility in Kaptas operations

Corporate responsibility is integrated into Kaptas’ operations at both strategic and operational levels. This is visible in practice through clear goals related to corporate responsibility, the achievement of which is monitored through internal audits, among other means.

As part of the Addtech Group, Kaptas is committed to adhering to the following international corporate responsibility principles:

UN Global Compact network

The UN Global Compact is a UN initiative that encourages companies to act responsibly and promote sustainable development. The core idea of the initiative is that companies commit to following ten principles related to human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption.

Kaptas implements these ten principles in all its operations, with ethical conduct being monitored through internal audits conducted by the Addtech Group. Kaptas also requires its supply chain to adhere to ethical business practices.

UN Agenda 2030 programme

Agenda 2030 is an international sustainable development action program approved in 2015. The program includes 17 sustainability goals aimed at solving global challenges, such as poverty, hunger, climate change, inequality, and environmental destruction, by 2030.

The Addtech Group has chosen specific focus areas from the program, which it prioritizes. Kaptas particularly focuses on the “Health and Well-being” area, as a significant portion of the machines and production lines we implement serve the pharmaceutical industry.

Science-Based Targets initiative

Addtech Group’s climate goals were approved in 2024 in accordance with the international Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This global initiative guides companies to set science-based climate targets that support the Paris Climate Agreement and limit global warming to below 1.5°C compared to pre-industrial times.

Addtech has committed to halving its carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 (compared to 2020 levels) and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. These targets also apply to Kaptas.

Addtech Group’s Code of Conduct

The operations of companies in the Addtech Group, in relation to employees, business partners, external stakeholders, and the environment, are based on mutual respect, responsibility, and high quality.

The Code of Conduct guidelines define the ethical principles and behavioural rules that all employees and partners are expected to follow.

These guidelines direct Kaptas’ daily operations, as well as its strategic and operational activities.

Shared ethical rules help us make responsible decisions that support the group’s values, business practices, and legal compliance.

Addtech Group’s Whistleblower service

Addtech aims to maintain a transparent business environment and high business ethics.

The group values respecting all its stakeholders and ensuring the safety of everyone affected by its business.

For this reason, Addtech uses a Whistleblower service, allowing anyone to report misconduct observed in the group’s operations.

To ensure the anonymity of whistleblowers, an external partner, Whistle B, is used.

The reporting channel allows for reporting any activity within the Addtech Group that is not in line with the group’s values, Code of Conduct, and operational principles.
