Collaboration between Kaptas and Karelian Lihajaloste

Previously, a worker on the pizza strip packaging line manually packed 2.5-kilo packages into a separate 12.5-kilo transport box in seven layers.

Approximately 10,000 kilos were packed daily, causing significant strain on the worker.

Kaptas automated the workstation and implemented a robotic packaging line for pizza strips.

With the robot, the transport boxes are filled and palletized automatically, and the full pallets are moved by forklift to a cold room for storage before shipment.

With automation, production working hours were reduced from five days to three, increasing production cost efficiency.

Additionally, automation improved workstation hygiene and enhanced the work ergonomics of employees by replacing the manual handling of heavy packages with an automated line.
